Guesthouse Kvítko / accommodation in Šumava - Rohanov

Penzion Kvítko was built on the foundations of a sizeable family farm, and had been completely reconstructed in local style, yet offering all the modern amenities for a comfortable vacation. It is in the middle of a plot of land, covering an area of about 2.5 ha, on the outskirts of the village of Rohanov, less than 3 km below the peak of the Javorník Mountain. All set in the beautiful Šumava countryside, at an altitude of 750 m.

Our guest house is an ideal place for a relaxing weekend or a holiday for two, an entire family, or an outdoor sports-seeking individual. From Rohanov, you can connect to many trekking trails and bike routes, including the well-known long-distance routes Klostermann's Way or the Golden Trail (Goldsteig).

Penzion Kvítko can also serve as a base for cycling trips, whether you are a mountain biker or a road biker. There are many well marked MTB trails of various level of difficulties. For road bikers, a healthy dose of kilometers on high-quality asphalt with almost no traffic can easily be found in the vicinity as well. The area of Javornik is also one of the areas sought after by mushroom pickers.

There is also a beautiful natural swimming pond with clean water, restaurant and camping facilities within walking distance from the guesthouse.

In winter, skiing in Javorník is within 5 minutes by car, the ski areas of Zadov and Kašperské Hory (possibility of both downhill and cross-country skiing on groomed tracks) are located approx. 15 minutes by car from the guesthouse.

You can also spend your free time relaxing in the pension's spacious garden with a small children's playground and a view of the Sumava countryside. In the evening you will be enticed to sit by the fire or grill, far from all the city rush, and watch the stars, nicely visible on clear nights and unobstructed by artificial lighting .

There are several excellent restaurants in the vicinity, with various offers from local traditional cuisine to burgers or a pizzeria. Our guests can of course use free private parking just a few steps from the main door.
